Scotland Forever, The Grant Wedding

I can't believe my wedding has come and gone! I get to see a lot of weddings in this line of work so it was such an incredible experience being on the other side of things (and the camera). Weddings are such glorious events and I loved every moment of ours and getting to make the day our own. Scotland is just the perfect country; the landscape, the history, the people... and I cannot wait to go back. I am eternally grateful for these amazing photographs by Laura Gordon and that we always get to relive our day through them. I hope you enjoy...and apologies for the long post, I am obsessed with every image!

"I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close."

Scottish Highlands | Whiskey & Heather

Our wedding was a true fairytale, as were the days before...replete with lots of whiskey, heather, Scottish rain, and good family times. I cannot recommend a destination wedding enough! It is a truly special time to share with your loved ones..and a great way to turn your wedding day into a week-long celebration. If you are planning a destination wedding, I highly recommend a prewedding shoot so you can capture another element of the country you are marrying in. Ours, captured beautifully by Laura Gordon with Super 8 video by Before Your Eyes Cinema and styled by Sara of Wedding Sparrow, are images I truly cherish. I cannot wait to share these photos with you from the days leading up to our wedding!
